Congressman-elect Bucshon Comments on Jobless Rate

Today, it was reported the jobless rate rose to 9.8 percent in November, the highest since April of this year and the 19th consecutive month over 9 percent.  Rep.-elect Bucshon released the following statement:

"These numbers are continued proof that getting Hoosiers and our fellow Americans back to work should be the top priority of the 112th Congress.  This news, along with the fact that over 2 million citizens will lose there unemployment benefits before Christmas shows the urgency and stresses the importance of a clear path towards prosperity that doesn't raise the taxes on American families and small businesses.

"In addition, I was troubled to see the tax dollars of hardworking Hoosiers used to shoulder the burden of poor choices by overseas governments. I am eager to get to Washington, D.C. to bring our Hoosier common sense to the nation's fiscal policies."
